Born in Montreal in 1939. Roberta Rogers grew up in Montreal and attended McGill University. She went to teacher’s college in Toronto and in 1962 she married Richard Dent Innes. They had two children, Stephanie and Sarah. In 2002 she unearthed an old family briefcase that contained the letters that her grandfather had written to her grandmother while he was a soldier in World War I. She also found the teddy bear that Aileen had sent him. Roberta lives in Toronto.
